Announcement: Summer 2011
During the summer we would like to suggest that your student do several activities to ensure development and retention of their math skills. If they have been working on the Symphony math program we are encouraging you to continue that work.
As in the past , we have also put together a collection of games for your children. We are suggesting different games for each grade level, and have taught your students to play these games in math class. Mathematical ability is strengthened through the kind of thinking that can be exercised enjoyably with games and puzzles. While all games strengthen many processes simultaneously, the ones we have chosen will support the activities that we have developed at Carroll. We have included an article on the game of Tic, Tac, Toe, which discusses how you can learn about your child through playing this game. Rainy day activity: Check our suggested web pages!!!!!! |
